Hi friends, thank you all for visiting my website and @EATeasyvegrecipes youtube channel. Today I am publishing a special compilation of 9 varieitis of sweets and snacks we offer to Lord Krishna on Krishnashtami or Janmashtami.
About Krinashtami or Janmashtami
Krishnashtami or Janmashtami or Gokulashtami is a Hindu festival. It is celebrated all over India in different ways. It is the birthday of Lord Krishna. Usually krishnashtami falls on July or August months of Gregorian calendar. According to Telugu calendar Janmashtami falls on Shravana Shukla Ashtami thidi. People celebrate the festival by breaking Makhan handi and dancing and singing around lord krishna. Some people pray for kids and their bright future also. Lots of bhajans happens and people celebrate by distributing sweets to friends and family. Some fast for the whole day and then perform puja in the evening, then break the fast. Home made Makhan or butter and milk are always there for offerings to Lord Krishna. Aprat from the butter and milk, some sweets and snacks are alos offered to Lord Krishna. Poha is also very important offer to Lord Krishna. Parents with small kids dress their kids as Radha and Krishna.
