Goru Chikkudukaya Curry -- A best accompaniment for rice, roti and chapati.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
- Chop onions and tomatoes into small pieces. Chop green chilli also.
- Make goru chikkudukayalu into 2" inches long pieces.
- In a blender jar add garlic, raw peanuts, coriander seeds, red chilli powder, besan and turmeric powder.
- Make a fine powder of it.
- In a thick bottom kadai or pressure cooker, heat oil.
- Add cumin seeds and ajwain. Let them pop.
- Add onions and saute them till they turn translucent.
- Add curry leaves and chopped green chillies.
- Add tomatoes and saute them till they become soft and mushy.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Add the above grounded spice mix.
- Add goru chikkudukaya /GuarPhalli piecesand mix them well.
- Add 1 cup of water.
- Close the lid of the pressure cooker and let it cook for 2 whistles.
- Once the pressure goes off, open the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
- If cooking in a kadai, cook till the goru chikkudukaya becomes soft.
- Serve goru chikkudukaya curry recipe with hot piping rice or roti or with chapati.
