Mushroom Cashew Curry Recipe | How to make Mushroom Cashew Curry

Hi friends, Today's recipe is Mushroom Cashew curry. Recently I started cooking mushrooms in different ways. As mushrooms are rich source of protein, low in fat and calories. Mushrooms bring a savory flavor to meals. Of course I am not used to cook mushrooms, but learning to try different recipes with mushrooms. Mushroom cashew curry one among them. I found this as the best mushroom curry in recent days. Mushroom cashew curry is the best accompaniment for roti, chapati or parathas. This time I served mushroom cashew curry gravy recipe with methi paratha. Recipe would be posted, check out for the recipe soon.
I found different health benefits of mushrooms like decrease the risk of cancer, protect brain health, stimulates healthy gut and also support a healthy immune sysytem.

Mushroom Cashew Curry is the best accompaniment for roti, chapati and parathas.

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup Mushrooms
  • 1/2 Cup Cashews
  • 2 Onions
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1/2 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds


  • Ingredients For Masala:
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 2 or 3 Green Chillis
  • 1" Ginger
  • 3 or 4 Garlic
  • 2 Cardamoms
  • 4 to 6 Cloves
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 10 or 12 Cashew nuts
  • 2 red chillis


  • Procedure:
    1. Soak cashews mentioned in the list below "Ingredients for Masala", in hot water for 5 minutes.
    2. In a blender jar add all the ingredients listed under "Ingredients for Masala".
    3. Blend them into a smooth paste. Keep them aside.
    4. Chop onions. Slice mushrooms also.
    5. Heat oil in a kadai, add cashews listed below "ingredients" and saute them.
    6. Along with the cashews add mushrooms and fry them for a minute.
    7. Keep them aside.
    8. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds.
    9. Allow the cumin seeds to pop up, add chopped onions and fry them till they turn translucent.
    10. Add the above grunded tomato masala paste.
    11. Add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, and coriander powder.
    12. Mix it well. Add 1 cup of water.
    13. Allow this to boil for a minute.
    14. Add fried cashews and mushrooms.
    15. Allow mushroom and cashews to cook for 5 minutes or till it thickens.
    16. Add 1/2 Cup of curd to get a nice flavour.
    17. Again allow mushroom cashew curry to cook for another 5 minutes.
    18. Serve mushroom cashew curry with roti, chapati or parathas.

    Davanagere Benne Dosa Recipe | How to make Davanagere benne dosa | (Davanagere Venna Dosa)

    Hi friends, Today's recipe is Davanagere Benne Dosa or butter dosa. Some places in India are special for certain recipes like Kakinada Kaja, Alluraiah Mysorepak and Davanagere for Benne dosa. Davanagere is a place in the state of Karnatak in South India. Whenever I visit my parents during their stay in Davanagere my dad used to get best davanagere benne dosa for me. I found davanagere benne dosa in Hyderabad recently, it is really authentic davagere benne dosa recipe I found. I liked benne dosa very much, so I added this recipe in my regular menu.

    Davanagere Benne Dosa

    Davanagere Benne Dosa -- Tasty breakfast recipe

    Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups Rice
  • 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 Cup Black Gram/Urad Dal
  • 1 Cup Puffed Rice
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1/2 Tsp Cooking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Oil for each Dosa
  • 1 tsp Butter for each Dosa

  • Procedure:
    1. Soak rice and fenugreek seeds in a large bowl for 4 to 6 hours.
    2. Soak urad dal and puffed rice seprately for 4 to 6 hours.
    3. In a blender jar grind urad dal into a smooth batter.
    4. Take the batter into a bowl and keep aside.
    5. Again blend rice and fenugreek seeds into a coarse batter.
    6. We should feel grainy when we touch the batter.
    7. Grind the puffed rice also into a smooth batter.
    8. Mix all the batters together and add salt and mix it again.
    9. Allow the benne dosa batter to ferment for about 10 to 12 hours.
    10. Just before making dosa add cooking soda and mix it again.
    11. Heat the dosa tawa, pour a ladle full of benne dosa batter.
    12. Add a spoonful of oil and cook for 2 minutes.
    13. Flip the dosa and again cook for another minutes.
    14. Drop a spoon of benne or butter on dosa before serving.
    15. Serve hot Davanagere benne dosa with Aloo mash and a drop of benne or butter.

    Vellulli Karam Podi Recipe | How to make Vellulli Karam Podi | Chilli Garlic Powder

    Hi friends, Today's recipe is Vellulli karam podi. There are two versions of vellulli karam recipe. One version of vellulli karam is pachadi and another version of vellulli karam is powder. This version of vellulli karam (chilli garlic) is made mainly in the Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh. I learned this from my Sister-In-Law. Check out for Vellulli karam pachadi here.

    Vellulli karam podi is good for health as we use curry leaves and garlic in this. Garlic helps in improving immunity as well as garlic helps in curing throat problems also. Garlic or vellulli also helps in curing back pain to ladies. We also make another version of vellulli karam to newly delivered mothers to get rid of post delivery issues.

    Vellulli Karam Podi Recipe

    Serve vellulli karam powder with hot piping rice and ghee.

    Ingredients:
  • 1 Tbsp Black Gram/Urad Dal
  • 1 Tbsp Bengal Gram/Chana Dal
  • 1/2 Cup Curry Leaves
  • 5 to 7 Garlic
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1 Tsp Oil
  • 5 to 7 Red Chillis

  • Procedure:
    1. Peel the skin of garlic and keep aside.
    2. Heat oil in a pan.
    3. Fry black gram/urad dal and bengal gram/chana dal till they turn light golden yellow.
    4. Add red chillis and fry them for 2 to 3 minutes
    5. Keep them aside.
    6. Again heat the same pan, add curry leaves and fry them till they become crisp.
    7. Keep them aside. Allow them to cool.
    8. Once all of them cooled down, add all of them into a blender jar except garlic and salt.
    9. Make coarse powder.
    10. Add salt and blend it again.
    11. Add garlic pods and blend it again.
    12. Press only whip or pulse button in the mixer grinder.
    13. Serve vellulli karam podi with hot piping rice and ghee.

    Hi friends, Today's recipe is eggless chocolate cake. The eggless chocolate cake recipe, I picked from different youtube channels and made my own style of homemade eggless chocolate cake recipe. I always prefer eggless baking only. Whenever I want to bake, I bake a new eggless chocolate cake. So at last I have decided to bake one specific recipe which I can share with my friends. So everytime I need to search for the eggless chocolate cake baking and end up in a new recipe. But I have decided to have one specific recipe to follow. So I wrote it down in a notes and started baking eggless chocolate cake fluffy. And finally I became "expert" in making this easy eggless chocolate cake recipe. So here is the final home made eggless chocolate cake recipe.
    For me baking is not as easy as cooking on stove top. I love baking but a bit scary about the end result. All ovens are not the same. We should keep ourselves hang around to learn it completely. Each and every oven varies in temperature and functionality. I have a LG MC-7880PSR Convection model oven. It has got 27 autocook methods. Here in the recipe, I am giving the temperatures and time I set in my oven. But you can change accordingly. And I never tried cakes on stove top, whenever I make cake I use oven only. If the oven is not in working condition I would stop baking cakes.

    Eggless chocolate cake -- A simple chocolate cake for kids to enjoy

    Ingredients:
  • 3/4 Cup Choco Powder
  • 3/4 Cup Hot Water
  • 3/4 Oil
  • 1 and 1/2 Cup Fine Sugar/Castor Sugar
  • 1 Cup Curd
  • 1 and 1/2 Cup Maida/All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Vanilla Essence

  • Procedure:
    1. Preheat the the oven at 180 degrees celsius for 10 mins.
    2. Grease and dust a 8" baking tin. Keep aside.
    3. In a dry and clean bowl, sieve maida/all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Keep it aside.
    4. In a large mixing bowl, add choco powder.
    5. Pour in hot water and mix it well. There shouldn't be any lumps.
    6. Add oil and sugar. Mix it well.
    7. Add curd into it and give a nice mix.
    8. Add the dry ingredients (Step No:3) into the above mix.
    9. Give a nice mix using a spatula.
    10. Do not over mix. There shouldn't be any dry flour left over.
    11. Once done Pour the eggless chocolate cake mix into the greased tin.
    12. Bake it for 30 to 35 mins at 180 degrees celsius. Or until the piercing stick comes out clean.
    13. Once the oven beeps, take it out and cool on wired rack.
    14. Allow the cake to completely cool down to scrape and demould from the tin.
    15. This would take at least 20 Mins time.
    16. Serve Eggless chocolate cake with hot milk or enjoy it anytime.

    Godhuma Rava Upma Recipe | How to make Godhuma Rava Upma | Daliya Upma (Broken Wheat Rava Upma)

    Hi friends, today's recipe is godhuma rava upma. Godhuma rava or daliya or broken wheat rava is a very healthy breakfast. In the Godhuma rava upma, we add lot of veggies. Godhuma rava or daliya takes very less oil so I always prefer to prepare daliya upma for dinner. Broken wheat upma is tummy friendly too. Daliya upma has all good qualities like easy to digest, less calorie food and also filling. We get three varieties of broken wheat, very thin, medium and thick one. I would prefer medium or thick one for upma and dosa. Godhuma rava upma is a one pot meal.

    Godhuma Rava Upma Recipe

    Godhuma Rava Upma is a healthy and tummy friendly one pot meal. It can be served for dinner or breakfast.

    Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups Godhuma Rava/Broken Wheat/Daliya
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Medium Carrot
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Tbsp Peas
  • 1 Potato
  • 5 to 7 Beans
  • 2 Tomato
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Tbsp Oil
  • 4" Long Ginger
  • 3 to 5 Green Chillis



  • Ingredients for Tadka:For Tadka:
  • 1 Tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Black Gram
  • 1 Tbsp Bengal Gram
  • 5 to 7 Curry Leaves
  • Coriander Leaves - Fist Full

  • Procedure:
    1. Chop all the vegetables. Chop green chillies, ginger and garlic.
    2. Heat oil in a thick bottomed kadai, add all the ingredients under 'For Tadka'.
    3. When they start spluttering add green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
    4. Now add onions fry them till turn into translucent and add tomatoes. Fry them till they become mushy.
    5. Add all the other vegetables one after the other like carrots, potatoes, beans, pease and capsicum.
    6. Saute them all well.
    7. Add turmeric powder and salt.
    8. Saute them well.
    9. Add 5 cups of water. The ratio I follow is for 1 cup of daliya add 2 and 1/2 cups of water.
    10. If we use medium daliya we should add only 4 cups of water.
    11. Mix it well and cover and cook for 5 minutes.
    12. Once the water starts boiling, simmer the flame, add rawa and mix well.
    13. Allow this to cook for another 5 to 10 minutes in a low flame.
    14. Stirring ocassionally, cover and cook.
    15. Allow the rawa to cook. Once the rawa is cooked and the moisture in the upma gets dried remove from the flame.
    16. Serve hot piping broken wheat upma/ Daliya upma/godhuma rawa upma with spicy chutney.

    Tomato Uttappam Recipe | How to make Tomato Uttappam | (Instant Tomato Uttappam with Tomato Juice)

    Hi friends, Today's recipe is tomato uttappam. Tomatoes are very good for health. We can prepare different varities of recipes with tomatoes. Tomato uttappam is one among them. Unlike normal uttappam tomato uttappam do not require any fermentation or any preparation too. Tomato Uttappam can served with any pickle or sauce. Tomato uttappam recipe I learned from my mother-in-law. She picked it from a small scale breakfast center and taught me, from then onwards it was there in my menu.

    Tomato Uttappam

    Tomato Uttappam is very simple, tasty and easy instant breakfast recipe.

    Ingredients:
    • 1 Cup All purpose flour or Maida
    • 3 Cups Rice Flour
    • 3 to 4 Medium sized Tomatoes
    • 3" Long Ginger
    • 3 to 5 Garlic cloves
    • Salt to Taste
    • Black Pepper Powder to sprinkle on uttappam
    • Oil to sprinkle on uttappams
    Procedure:
    1. In a large bowl mixing bowl add app purpose flour and rice flour.
    2. Add salt to taste and mix them well.
    3. Chop tomatoes, ginger and peel the skin of garlic.
    4. Add the chopped tomatoes, ginger and garlic into a mixer grinder and grind to make juice.
    5. Sieve the tomato juice to get fine juice.
    6. Add tomato juice into the flours and mix well.
    7. Mix thoroughly to make sure that there were no lumps formed
    8. Heat dosa tawa, sprinkle some water to check the heat of it.
    9. pour a spoonful of oil and spread it across the dosa tawa.
    10. Pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it gently.
    11. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper powder on top of the tomato uttappam.
    12. Add spoonful of oil over tomato uttappam and cook for two mins.
    13. Flip and cook for two more minutes.
    14. Serve tomato uttappam with any spicy chutney or ketch up or even with sauce.
