Badam milk is a flavoured milk made with almonds and sweeteners. It is a traditional Indian beverage available in every household in most of India.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
- Soak badam/almonds and cashew in hot water for 3 to 4 hours.
- Remove the skin of soaked badam. and grind it to make a smooth paste
- Keep some of badam and cashew aside and chop them.
- Along with cashew nuts grind them to make a smooth paste.
- Soak saffron in little milk.
- In a thick bottom kadai add little water and add milk.
- Boil them till the milk become half.
- Add badam paste and mix it well.
- See that there won't be any lumps formed.
- Allow the badam milk to boil for a minute.
- Add sugar and mix it again.
- Let the sugar also dissolves completely.
- Add chopped pista, cashew and badam, we kept them aside.
- Add soaked saffron along with the milk.
- Let the milk boil for a minute.
- Lastly before switching off add cardamom powder.
- Pour the badam milk in serving tumblers, top it with some chopped pista, almond and cashew.
- Serve badam milk chilled or warm.
