Chintha Pandu Pachadi
This chutney/pachchadi is made with tamarind. This is very tasty and spicy chutney/pachchadi. It will go well with hot rice. This chutney is a good combination with kandi pachadi and raw onion. With little tamarind and more red chillies preparation of this chutney is very tasty and spicy. Making it is easy.



Chintha Pandu Pachadi

Chintha Pandu Pachadi -- Serve it with hot piping rice.
Ingredients:
  • 100 Grams Tamarind
  • 200 Grams Red chillies
  • 50 Grams Mustard seeds
  • 50 Grams Black gram
  • 1 Teaspoon Asafoeitda
  • 4 Tablespoon Oil
  • Salt to taste
Procedure:

  1. Sprinkle little water over tamarind and soak it for half an hour.
  2. Heat oil in a thick bottomed kadai, roast mustard seeds, black gram and asafoetida.
  3. Let them splutter and add red chillies.
  4. Immediately switch off the flame, otherwise chillies will become dark and the pachadi looks dark in colour.
  5. Let them cool.
  6. In a blender jar add red chillies and little portion of mustard seeds and black gram with salt. Grind it to coarse powder.
  7. Add soaked tamarind to the above grounded red chillies and grind it.
  8. If required add little water and grind it.
  9. Make smooth pachadi, once done add remaining mustard seeds and black gram to the pachadi.
  10. Serve spicy chintha pachadi with hot piping rice.
