Hi, Good Morning, Thank you friends and viewers. Today I will post how to make sheer khorma recipe.
Sheer Khorma is made during Ramadan festival. It is a festival vermicelli pudding. It is a traditional Muslim festive breakfast and a dessert for celebrations. This special dish is served in the morning of Eid day after the prayer as breakfast. In Persian Sheer means milk and khorma mean dates. This dish is made from dried dates.
This recipe needs special vermicelli and some dry fruits. It is available in the supermarkets during Ramzan season. This vermicelli is very thin and can be easily crushed with hands.
This dish I prepare it during Ramadan festival and also whenever I crave for sweet, I prpepare it. Some I may not have all the necesary ingredients except dates, still I make it with them also.

Sheer Khorma

Ingredients:
  • Milk- 11/2Ltr
  • Thin Vermicelli-150grms
  • Sugar- 250grms
  • Dates-100grms
  • Cashew nuts-100grms
  • Pistachio-100grms
  • Chironji-100grms
  • Cardamom powder-1tsp
  • Ghee-50grms
Procedure:
  1. Soak pistachio and chironji in hot water for 10 mins. We can easily remove the skin by rubbing them in between hands.
  2. Heat ghee in a kadai fry cashew nuts, pistachio, chironji and keep them aside. Fry dates also separately in ghee.
  3. Boil milk in a thick bottomed vessel.
  4. Heat ghee in a kadai and fry vermicelli till it turns golden brown. Sometimes we get fried vermicelli.
  5. Add sugar to it and fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Now add boiled milk and allow it to boil for 10 minutes or till the milk reduces to three fourths.
  7. Once milk reduces, add half the portion of fried dry fruits. Keep remaining for decoration.
  8. Allow this to boil for a minute or even less.
  9. Serve hot or cold as you wish, topped with some more dry fruits and dates.
