Bread Utappam/Bread Pancakes

Bread Utappam is best for night dinner. This recipe I get it from one of my vernacular magazine. Kids also like this. We can use any type of bread like Sandwich Bread or Whole Wheat Bread or Milk Bread.  It takes longer time to cook, so one should have patience to make it. I normally put a chair to sit while utappam cooks. :)
The measurements given in this makes around 14 to 16 medium sized bread pancakes/bread utappams. 

Ingredients:

Bread - 6 to 8 slices
Rice flour - 1 Cup
Salt - to taste
Red chillie Powder - 1 tsp
Green Chillies - 2 (chopped)
Sour Curd - 1 Cup

Procedure:

Soak bread slices in sour curd for half an hour.
Grind soaked bread slices and rice flour to a fine paste.
Add salt and red chilli powder and chopped green chillies and mix well. 
Batter for bread utappam is ready. Batter consistency should be like that of the plain dosa. Neither too thick nor too thin. 
Heat dosa pan or griddle. Take a ladle full of batter and pour it. Spread it with the help of pan itself not with ladle. Cover and cook it in the low flame. Cook for one minute or till done and flip it. Again cook for one more minute. Serve it hot only. Serve it with tomato sauce or garlic chutney.  I prefer with garlic chutney
